HYROX Average Times

What counts as a good HYROX time? Here are honest benchmarks by division, age group, and competitive level — based on global race data through 2026.

The Quick Answer

The average HYROX finish time across all Open division athletes is approximately 85 minutes for men and 95 minutes for women. Elite athletes finish in under an hour. First-time finishers typically take 100–120+ minutes.

But averages hide a lot. Your "good time" depends on your division, your age group, your training history, and whether you're racing Singles, Doubles, or Pro.

Doubles Times

Doubles is generally faster than Singles because two athletes share the work. Expect approximately:

  • Elite Doubles Men: 50–55 min
  • Elite Doubles Women: 55–62 min
  • Average Doubles Men: 65–80 min
  • Average Doubles Women: 75–90 min
  • Mixed Doubles: 60–80 min for competitive teams

HYROX World Records (as of 2026)

The current HYROX Singles world records sit in the mid-50-minute range for men and around 60 minutes for women. The top times are constantly being pushed at major events and World Championships.

  • Men's Open WR: ~54 min (sub-55 is the new bar)
  • Women's Open WR: ~58 min (sub-60 is elite)
  • Men's Pro WR: ~57 min
  • Women's Pro WR: ~63 min

Records are approximate ranges as elite times are improving every event.

What Counts as a "Good" HYROX Time?

For a first HYROX, anything under 100 minutes for men or 110 minutes for women is a strong result — most first-timers finish in the 100–130 minute range. After two or three races and proper training, breaking 90 minutes (men) or 100 minutes (women) is a realistic goal.

Sub-80 minutes (men) or sub-90 minutes (women) puts you in the top 25% of finishers. Sub-70 minutes for men or sub-80 minutes for women is strong age-group competitive territory.

The real measure isn't the absolute time — it's your trajectory. Ten minutes off your time race-to-race is a much more meaningful win than hitting any particular benchmark on your first try.
